Simple, Fresh, Delicious Cooking Show
“Simple, Fresh, Delicious” is a beautiful, engaging, and vibrant 13 part food series that explores the passion shared for food by one of Alberta’s most successful food industry professionals’... Lovoni Walker. Gregarious Lovoni is a very successful chef, cook, food stylist and prodigious cookbook writer with her own gorgeous studio in Nisku.
Lovoni is a “keep it simple” cook. She loves food, especially fresh and believes emphatically that supporting local producers is better for all of us for so many reasons – and can’t wait to share with us why!
Simple, fresh, delicious will have a rich, saturated look to it. The camera techniques used in the field and in the studio will determine the show’s pace. Studio use of a dolly and track will give the show an organic look. The use of colour correction techniques will give the field footage a consistency regardless of the weather on any given day.
Each show will start with an explanation of the show’s theme in the studio with Lovoni giving us a grocery list of the ingredients to be explored in today’s show. Each show has a feature where our cameras have visited a local producer, farmer, or food industry related topic. These features in the field will be created using a combination of on camera interviews and voice over.
Guests come to set to enjoy the food that Lovoni has prepared in the studio. This will open up opportunities to “set the table” and discuss weekly themes that include, super foods, slow food, local food and organic food and demonstrate the benefits of enjoying the experience of sitting at the table with family and friends and the joy of cooking for people.
